 1) First example : -

before

darker shade was added to the road by using the burn tool.

a lighter shade was added to the grasses to make it look livelier by using the sponge tool (saturated)

Tutorial 2 :Layers

Making layers for e-wall paper assignment 1.
 The steps were :-
1) Open  new sheet and drag images onto the A4 sheet.

2) Select layer settings (screen) to have an effect as shown below.

4) Add rainbow and also add text.

5) Add effects to the text to make it curve in such a way.

6)  Position the mascot and the mmu logo in place.

7) Duplicate both the sky and road layer with the following setting (Hard Light) to have the desired effect.
only the sky was duplicated

after the road and sky had been duplicated

8) Some adjustments were done : Remove a layer of the sky (as the outline was too obvious) and vibrance was added

Digital Media

Using simple basic steps learnt from tutorial digital media class to make simple photoshop adjustments :)

1) Choose the settings as shown below.

2) Zoom to the green cutting board & select using the magic wand.

3) Copy(Cntl+C) & Paste(Cntrl+V) the cutting board on the new A4 sheet.

4) Zoom to the tomato & use the quick selection tool to select the tomato.

5) Then, copy & paste the tomato onto the cutting board on the A4 sheet.

6) Do the same for all the other vegetables (repeat step 5-6). For the grapes, instead of using the quick selection tool to select, use the elliptical marquee tool. While dragging the circle to trace the outline of the grapes, be sure to press on the cntl or space key to get the exact outline of the grapes.

7) After gathering all the fruits and vegetables on the board, you will get a picture as shown below.

8) Next, copy the image and paste and afterwards, rotate the image 180 degrees(under transform - under edit tab)

9) Then, invert the colour of the copied image.

10) Insert text and also add the "salad" button.

11) Set a background. Use the rounded rectangle tool and select preferred colours to make a simple background.

12) Next step is to use the magic wand tool to select the outer part of the images. Then press shft+cntl+I to get an inversed picture. Use background eraser tool to erase the background. Copy that image and paste on the background made in step 12.

13) Final image.
